The Enduring Journey: Soon and Very Soon

As we make preparations to leave and anticipate the arrival of the motor home, the Lord continues to send folks to us who need His love. Everything that is happening in our life is a part of His plan. He keeps telling us to trust Him and that He will provide all that we need. We do not need to try to figure out how He is going to work but just know that He is working.

Told to Charley by the Lord
September 21, 1999
(Father speaking)
Charley, I am pleased with what you did today, you and Karen. In visiting with Patty and the prayers you prayed. Yes, I anointed your home with the power of My Holy Spirit. And what I desired to take place there today did indeed take place. The motor home is en-route. You need to quit trying to figure out how it is going to come because you do not have a clue. Just continue in your preparation to be ready. Because when it arrives and you are not busy talking to friends and neighbors and telling them about My provision for you, you need to be busy about loading the motor home and getting ready to go. At the right time I will tell where your destination will be. You have done well to not be concerned about the bills you have to pay. Just continue to roll that care upon Me. There will be plenty of money to take care of your bills. Today I sent you the $20. I have much more for you. Karen was correct in Patty having a broken heart but I can fix her broken heart. As we await our provision for the journey ahead, Father continues to tell us that we must ABIDE in Him.

September 28, 1999
(Father Speaking)
I have placed within you praise and adoration. I have placed within you love. I have placed within you giving. I have placed within you faith. It is this faith that is being exercised right now, as you trust Me totally and completely for today and every moment of this day. I am bringing in all that I have told you and you are doing so well to trust Me. Continue to tell all around you what I am doing because it will be fulfilled in My time and very soon. This is My day and I am your Lord and you are to follow obediently as I walk you through this time. Never fear for I am with you. Do not doubt because I am your God. You are My precious children and I love you so much. This is what My love is like. This is what My protection and care is like. This is what trusting Me totally is like and this is what being My child is like. Don’t stop and don’t stray. Don’t cease from telling others. All will be fulfilled as I say.

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

One thing we continue to learn about our Lord, His timing and our timing are usually not the same. We see the here and now. He operates on supernatural time and on His big picture. You shall see in the days to come that we must learn what trusting God really means.

The Enduring Journey: Encouraged

We are ready to go! So much is happening as we prepare under Father’s direction. We visited with our new pastor and asked if we could be under the Church’s umbrella of authority as we travel. We are an interdenominational ministry, but we are under the umbrella of love and prayer through our Church family. Father continues to encourage us that we are walking the path He has for us. He will provide all of our needs, spiritual, emotional and physical.

Below is a word from the Lord for us:

September 14, 1999
(Father speaking)
You did well this morning when you were visiting with the pastor. He will come back to you after he has visited with his board. You will be under his umbrella as well as under his authority. You will need to reassure your ministry partners that you love them. Continue today and tomorrow with getting ready to leave. You were correct in saying to different people that you would be leaving very soon. Do the last minute preparations for you will truly be leaving very soon! Continue to encourage David (Pastor in Mississippi) over the email. It won’t be very long before you can visit with him face to face. As I told you the other day things are to begin moving very fast beginning tomorrow. Hang on because you and I are going to have an awesome journey. Stay before Me! Stay in My Word! Stay in an attitude of prayer and submission. I love you. HERE WE GO!!!!!

Thoughts & Ideas

(Karen speaking)
We had several come to us and give us ideas as to how we should present the ministry. Father gave us direction to begin by visiting those whose names He had given us and to allow His Holy Spirit to move and work through us. We must keep our total focus on the Lord and what He wants us to do. We appreciate all those who have shared with us but we listen to the voice of the Lord and any suggestions made by others are passed through the discerning of the Holy Spirit. We only move when Father tells us.

Charley’s response was:
In his mind and heart he desires to teach ministers how to be Godly husbands and fathers. He wants to deal with the marriage relationship. He plans to present practical help for husbands so they know how to minister to their wives. One resource is to use the book, Do Yourself A Favor Love Your Wife by H. Page Williams, as a tool. We gave these thoughts and ideas to the Lord. Charley has been told that he is a great organizer, caregiver and facilitator. A friend looked at our brochure and saw that what he was saying to us about ministry was confirmed by what the Lord had told us about ministry. We also have opportunities to work in El Salvador and possibly other countries.

Peace

(Karen speaking)
We have experienced great peace as we have prepared to leave. The plans that the Lord has for us continue to manifest themselves daily. It is the waiting that can wear on us. That is when we must seek the Lord for His peace and rest even in the midst of the wait.

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:3

Last night, September 15, Wedgwood Baptist Church was attacked by a gunman and several people were killed. He walked into the sanctuary while the youth were having a rally for See You at the Pole. There will be many who turn to the Lord because of this tragedy combined with the tragedy at Littleton and other places in the country. Also the hurricanes that are battering the east coast, the earthquakes in foreign countries and other signs of the end times. God is giving a call now to all to come to Him. Satan is stepping up the evil in our land and God is calling His people to be accountable to Him and put down their petty strife and follow Him totally and completely. Will we heed this call or will we ignore the greatest opportunity for harvest that has ever come? He is rallying His people of all denominations to join together and be that formidable force to fight the enemy. As for Charley and I we choose to give heed to the call of God on our life and go around the world telling people about Jesus and His saving Grace. Glory to His Name!

We have gone through some crises of belief many times as we have sought the Lord and desired to know that we are right where He wants us. This was one of those times when I needed some confirmation that we were walking the path that He had for us at this time. Oh, I rejoice that Father is always there and does not leave us nor forsake us!

Straight the Road!

You have done well. You continue to believe. This is My ministry. I am in control. Do not look to the right or left. I will give direction. I will provide. You did well to talk to your grandson. He knows Me and the power of prayer. Just trust, just believe. Be ready. Don’t let down, don’t hesitate to tell what I am doing. Don’t quit praising, spending time! Don’t think I have failed you! I am here and I have all for you. Just be ready to go. I love you. You are precious children. Keep holding, keep loving, keep giving! I want you to give more and trust Me. You only have a few days—stay ready! It is almost time! Praise Me, Adore Me, Love Me! I am your Father. You have done so well. You haven’t wavered though others have tried to bring doubt. Hold fast to Me. We are on our way. Share this with Charley. Assure him he has heard My every word correctly. Just be ready to do as I say. He is growing in strength and vitality in My Spirit. Stay focused, stay before Me. Stay close.

We leave in a few days for the first Ministry trip. The Lord has continued to speak truth and encouragement to us. As we seek His face and His direction, we must not allow ourselves to be duped by satan to take our eyes off of the Lord and put it on the circumstances in our life. We are so excited and do not want to walk in the flesh but we desire to Walk in the Spirit. We rejoice in all that the Lord is doing! He is showing us so much and we want to be obedient.

September 11, 1999 (Father speaking to Charley)
Charley, you and Karen have done well in preparation. After Tuesday things are going to begin moving extremely fast but you will do fine because of your excitement and willingness to obey.

(Charley speaking)
Lord, I am concerned about Bob. My desire is for him to be willing for You to work in him. Is there anything that I can do to help in this matter?

(Father speaking)
No, Charley, you have done all I have asked you to do and you have done it well. No matter what happens tomorrow, or what is said, continue in love and joy and I will give you peace. Be careful that you don’t pick up any excess baggage. I will help you but you must stay close to Me. You must always stay close to Me. Keep praising and loving Me, keep obeying Me. I have much for you to do and I have much to give you. Like I told Karen there is much that you don’t know about. But as long as you love Me, praise Me, adore Me and obey Me, we are going to have a fun time together. Because you have a heart for ministry, a heart for My ministry and I am pleased with you. Now get up off the floor and go tell Karen what I have told you.

We must daily spend time with the Lord. He is our sufficiency moment by moment and we are walking with Him hand in hand on this journey of faith.

As the Lord continues to prepare us for ministry, He has shown us visions of what will come to pass as we walk in obedience. This vision and message from Father so impacted our lives that it will be a part of the story of our call to the ministry forever as we share with others!

Be Ready

YOU DID WELL TO SHARE WITH PASTOR THIS MORNING. HE WILL BE A GREAT ADVOCATE OF PRAYER SUPPORT FOR YOU. CONTINUE IN YOUR STATE OF READINESS FOR THE TIME IS COMING SOON WHEN I WILL TELL YOU TO GO. YOU DID WELL NOT TO BE CONCERNED OVER THE MONEY THAT IS OWED YOU FOR YOU WILL HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH. Father showed me the pipeline. It was gushing forth money. He told me that there would be more than enough pressed down shaken together and over flowing. Satan tried to put a net over it to stop it but it ripped the net asunder. YOU THINK THAT MONEY IS GOING TO OVERPOWER YOU BUT YOU ARE PREPARED TO HANDLE IT. YOU WILL HAVE TO LISTEN CLOSELY WHILE I TELL YOU WHERE IT NEEDS TO GO. BUT SEEK ME FIRST AND I WILL GIVE WISDOM THAT YOU WILL KNOW WHERE THE MONEY IS TO GO. YOUR THOUGHTS OF SHARING WITH MINISTRIES AS WELL AS THE PASTORS YOU ARE TO GO VISIT IS TRUE BECAUSE IT CAME FROM ME. SEVERAL OF THE PASTORS ARE STRUGGLING WITH THEIR NEW POSITION AND FINANCIALLY. YOU ARE TO LOVE THEM, ENCOURAGE THEM AND HELP THEM WITH THE BLESSING I GIVE YOU FOR THEM FINANCIALLY. OTHERS NEED YOUR LOVE AND ENCOURAGEMENT. PLAN TO SPEND TIME WITH THEM AND JUST TELL THEM WHAT I TELL YOU TO TELL THEM. ONE PASTOR AND HIS WIFE ARE WAITING FOR YOU TO COME, AS THEY NEED YOUR LOVE AND ENCOURAGEMENT ALSO. THEY BOTH HAVE HIGH REGARD FOR YOU. JUST STAY READY TO GO FOR THE TIME IS NIGH. I AM PREPARING YOUR FUTURE PASTOR SO THAT WHEN I TELL YOU TO GO TO HIM HE WILL RECEIVE YOU FOR I HAVE PREPARED HIS HEART.

Pipeline

(Charley speaking)
The pipeline is at 3/4 capacity and flowing but the room was not being filled up with money. I saw the demons of hell try to put a mesh over it to stop it. As they tried to stop it, it was coming with such force that it ripped it and they were gone. It was at full force but it never made a big pile like it was being used up as fast as it came. It was going out as quickly as it came. A foundational amount was staying there but the rest was going out. Father did not indicate the ministries we were to give to but that to give to ministries and individuals was correct. He said that we would be living in the motor home. I will not go beyond what He said to study what He meant. He said I have many more names for your list that will be revealed as you go along. He said stay ready, be ready, be ready to go. There was urgency in His voice to be ready. Do not get slack, the time is nigh is what I perceived He was saying. I felt the power of the Holy Spirit all over me for I do not think I could have received what I saw and what He told me without His power.

Anticipation

Anticipation is our life at this point! We look forward to each day with its share of opportunities to minister and also as we listen to the Lord for His instructions. Soon we will be traveling and touching lives. Father has prepared us all of our lives for this moment in time. We rejoice to see His hand orchestrating our lives. We go in Your name, Lord Jesus!

The Enduring Journey: Vision/Preparation/Obedience

I will extol You, my God, O King; and I will bless Your name forever and ever. -Psalm 145:1

During these past months we have both experienced visions from the Lord preparing us for this new step of faith and trust. Below is a vision give to Charley for what Father has planned for us.

The Vision

July 24, 1999 (Karen speaking)
A couple of weeks ago Charley saw the motor home pull up in front of the house pulling a vehicle, which appeared to be something like a 4 door Ford Explorer. And then tonight he again saw the motor home pull up in front of the house and man and woman came to the door and as he opened it, they asked, “Are you Charles Tackett?” As he welcomed them into the house, they began sharing what Father had told them to do. They were to bring the motor home and car to us to be used in ministry: The ministry of loving and encouraging pastors, teaching and preaching God’s Word. As Father was showing all of this He encouraged Charley to begin praying blessings over this couple immediately for their obedience and dedication to Father’s ministry. Father was visiting with Charley a few days ago at Intercession. As He spoke with him, Father was encouraging him that even though it had been a difficult week in many aspects that all was well and He was pleased. He was pleased because even in the midst of adversity, Charley was striving to find the things that Father was trying to teach him through the adversity. He felt he should have had more questions to ask but there was nothing within him but peace. What a joy to experience such awesome peace! I have also seen visions of the motor home coming in much the same way. I did not recognize the people who brought it but knew they were giving it to us for ministry. We shared with each other what the Lord had shown us tonight and it confirmed in our hearts what Father is doing. We are so excited and expectant of what is coming. We praise and thank the Lord for how He will bring about His plans.

Preparation

His name shall endure forever, His name shall continue as long as the sun. And men shall be blessed in Him; all nations shall call Him blessed. -Psalm 72:17

We continue to make preparations for the first ministry trip. The plans are coming together as Father gives direction. It is a joy to walk each day in Father’s love and in His Spirit. Lord, we thank You for giving us encouragement and confirmation of what we are doing. Father has given the business card design, the brochure design and I know He will give the newsletter design.

August 5, 1999 (Charley & Father dialogue in prayer)
Charley, Yes, Lord, it is time for you to make the final preparations. I want you to take a look at the list and begin to prepare your route. As you begin your preparation just listen to Me and I will help you every step of the way. Get ready to go. The time is soon, very soon. Lord that is the same thing You told Karen last Sunday. Yes and I am telling you. You have done well to spend time in My Word and before Me in prayer. You must keep doing that. But it is time to make final preparations. Lord, Yes Charley, what about the name for the ministry and the cards Karen has been working on? Karen has done very well. She was listening very closely to Me as she designed that. Just tell her to continue her work on the cards and keep listening to Me. I will help her. Thank You Lord.

Obedience

For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. -Romans 5:19

casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, -2 Corinthians 10.5

Each day is exciting as we seek Father for the plans and purposes that He has for us. We desire to be totally and completely obedient so we must listen closely to what Father tells us. We do not want to miss any of His words of wisdom and direction.

August 18, 1999 (Father speaking to Charley)
You have done well in what you have been doing the last few days in loving and encouraging people. You did well in hearing My voice about the pastor. I will tell you when it is time to talk to him. I will give you words to speak to him. The transition time will be smooth.
(Karen speaking) It is so important to have a blessing from a church when you leave so this is what we desire as we leave according to Father’s direction.
(Father speaking) All of this because you dare to believe and have been found faithful! September 14 is the day you will leave your current church. I love you My son.

August 21, 1999 (Father speaking)
Good morning, Charley. You and Karen are doing well in following the path that I have set for you. But you must stay in My Word and before Me in prayer and be careful not to stray away from My path. You must complete your work where you are before you advance to the next path that I have for you. I will take care of all your needs. I love you. Just stay on the path and do not waver.

August 21 (Father & Karen in dialogue through prayer)
You are doing what I have told you. Continue to be diligent in being ready. Keep reading the Word and keep studying. Stay in My presence so you are available to Me as I bring others to you. Your faith and your trust are a sweet aroma to Me. I love you. Continue to allow My Spirit to teach you. Lord did I do all you wanted me to do with my friend? Oh, Yes, just keep loving and encouraging her. Lord, forgive me when the doubts come. You are doing well because you are not receiving the enemies’ darts of doubt. Keep trusting, keep believing-you are on your way. You are already fulfilling the call and the anointing. Look at those whose lives you are touching and those you do not even realize. It’s happening! Stay with Me!

Can there be any doubt what a personal relationship with Jesus will do in your life as you spend time on your face in prayer before His throne. Let these words be an encouragement for you to spend time each day talking to your Lord and listening to His direction and wisdom. He has so much encouragement for you in His Word and through the communication of prayer.

Beginning the Journey: PEACE IN THE MIDST OF THE STORM

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

In services one Sunday morning, we experienced some awesome praise and worship time. It was a small non-denominational church but the presence of the Holy Spirit was experienced by those in attendance. During these months in the very beginning of the vision of Christ’s Kingdom Ministries, the Lord spoke so many encouraging words to us. We were in a preparation mode for what He had planned ahead. Little did we know how vast the vision was but the Lord revealed it one day at a time as we sought Him with our whole heart!

Praise and Worship Time!

July 11, 1999
During the service as our drummer played as unto the Lord after the praise and worship time, Father gave me this:

I am doing within you what you have asked. If you were not willing to receive you should not have asked. I am your God. I am worthy to be praised, honored and adored. Trust Me, Love Me, Seek Me, and Worship Me. I am all you have. You are My people. Let Me do My work. I know what I am doing. There can be no mistakes when you hear My voice and do what I say.

The Message

(Karen speaking)
The pastor preached on exactly what Father gave me. I had received it before the message was given. A young woman who is a member of the congregation shared after the service and her words fit exactly with what Father gave me. Thank You, Lord, for Your awesome Word and instruction.

Yes, thank You, Lord.

Beginning the Journey: THE BEGINNING OF PROPHECY

And He said to me, You are My servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.
-Isaiah 49:3

For over 7 months before the letter was written to our partners on September 13, the Lord had been speaking into our hearts the prophetic words of the beginning of His ministry. The words came through Godly people who knew of our ministry through the Non-Denominational Church that we attended but also through those who had known us in the helps ministry. These words of prophecy began to come true as we sought the Lord and began listening for His voice and heeding His words. We spent much time in prayer and in the Word searching out the scriptures that He led us to seek and also lying prostrate on the floor, yielding to Him in every way possible. He took us through deliverance of fears and anxieties that had permeated our life because of the daily struggles of finances and family.

Previous Ministry

People would speak to us of our calling to encourage others. For many years Karen had a Barnabas ministry to Senior Adults as well as dear friends. We had walked through the illness and death of a beloved pastor and the daily encouragement of his wife and family. We had walked through some illness in our own families including the death of Charley’s parents and the family situations that come from these daily struggles.

Father’s Plan and Purpose

Our lives were not our own and we realized that Father had a plan and purpose far beyond what we could see and understand. We decided to choose to follow Jesus and to walk out the prophecy being spoken over us and to see what the Lord would do through our obedience. We rejoice in the fulfillment of the prophetic words and the praise, honor and glory belongs to Jesus.

Beginning the Journey: THE COURSE IS SET

Preach the Word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.

On September 13, 1999, we wrote a letter to our prayer partners sharing the direction Father was taking us in this ministry which He had begun. Part of that letter said:
“Dear Friends, what an awesome journey we are on with our Lord! We have experienced His love, grace and mercy in our lives every step of the way. Now we want to share the next mile we are to travel. Beginning September 15 our life will be traveling all over the country encouraging and loving on pastors. We will be teaching and preaching as Father gives opportunity but much time will be spent sharing and planting our lives into the lives of pastors, wives and families. Since the first of this year the Lord has been getting us ready to go.”

“You, our wonderful friends and supporters, are a part of all we do for our Lord. You have loved and encouraged us at every turn as Father has taken us to Mexico and El Salvador personally and then all over the world through our involvement with other ministries in Kenya, South Africa, Scotland, Russia and the United States. Thank you for your love and prayers.”

Ready to Go!

“We will be sending a newsletter from the road as Father provides all the provision He has promised for our journey. Right now there are 32 ministry people, pastors and servants, with whom we will be spending time. They are all over the U.S. and overseas. That is just the beginning. Praise the Lord! Our house is in order and we are ready to go.”

Beginning the Journey: PREPARING THE WAY

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
– Galatians 2:20

It is my desire to share with you a thumbnail sketch of the journey my husband, Charles, and I have been traveling for over six years. I do not believe the Lord has yet called me to write the complete story but if in the future He does, then I will have much more to tell you. I will share that we began to see the hand of the Lord in this portion of our journey in 1992 when He took Charles into full-time ministry and away from a job where he had worked for 26 years.

First, A Helps Ministry

Charles and I became a team working side-by-side 13-15 hours a day in a helps ministry in which we organized and ran a warehouse full of donated items. These items were then given to those in need through agencies, ministries and churches. For 5 years we worked in this ministry, seeing the hand of the Lord at every turn and watching lives changed by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Lord taught us love, compassion, patience, perseverence and joy. He began to birth in us the ministry that we now are fulfilling with His help all over the world. We spent many hours visiting with pastors and church leadership as we helped them love and encourage people with great physical and spiritual needs.

Second, a Missions Ministry

Then the Lord placed us in a church setting using Charles as Missions Pastor. Father sent him to Mexico and El Salvador to preach, teach and encourage pastors.

Third, Christ's Kingdom Ministries

In the spring of 1999 Christ’s Kingdom Ministries began to become a reality in our life. Father spoke to us about this call and how He wanted us to fulfill it. We began to seek His wisdom and direction. When Father gave direction, I began to create the business cards, the letterhead, the brochure and the newsletter format. What a joy to be totally in His hands and to know that He was answering our prayers for wisdom! He gave the format, and He gave the purposes for this ministry to be in existence.

Travel, Love, and Encourage

He told us that He wanted us to travel extensively, loving and encouraging His pastors. He told us that His pastors are discouraged and leaving the ministry because satan has so deceived them and that they are being lied to and abused by Christian people. He told us over and over: "Tell them to read 2 Chronicles 7:14 and to preach this to their congregation. My people must come back to Me. They must seek My face. They must get serious about their walk with Me. The Christian life is more than a Sunday service. It is a life and an abundant life at that."

"Send Me"

So we said to our Lord just as Isaiah said: "Here I am, Lord, send me." Yes, Lord, Yes, to Your will and to Your way. Praise the Lord for His goodness, mercy and grace in our lives. We rejoice in all that He is doing through this ministry for, you see, this is not our ministry, this is His ministry. We are His messengers and He is our strength, our wisdom, and our Director. Here is our story of His conversations with us as we have traveled this road together — Jesus, Charles and me.
